Over worked, over stressed & spending too much time stressing over how to fit everything in.... Arrggh.

I have never come across such a time where I appear to be surrounded (& I am not exempt from this), surrounded by over stressed, over anxious and overwhelmed women. Yes, men probably are suffering but they're not overly chatting to me about it. It's not just mums nor is it use the high powered corporate types, it's married and single. All classes and all sorts of reasons. What's going on?

Over worked, over stressed & spending too much time stressing over how to fit everything in.... Arrggh.

Is it because we are no longer living in blissful ignorance of other people's success and achievements? We can't blame Facebook for everything. The avenues in which we can go down are ever increasing, as are potential problems that occur with flexibility, ergo, more pressure. There are more and more demands being put upon us.

I can't solve your problems but a lot of issues are down feeling like you're not in control, being productive can really help with that (so I find anyway).

So here are a few tips I have for trying to utilise your time wisely and trying to stay in control... (Some are mum based but you can always borrow a child - ask for permission first)

1 - When bathing the kids, use that 10 mins to give yourself a facial. You're in there anyway. If it's a mask, put it on while running the bath, then it'll have done its job while they're mid bath.

2 - No time for a workout? Lay on your back and use your child in the superman pose, they think you're great fun, your abs get a good work out. Not to mention the giggling. It's all good.

3. Get a pedometer app, you'll be surprised how much you're doing while running around and you'll feel better about yourself.

4. Make time to see your friends assuming your friends have a positive effect on you. If not, why not!?

5. Drink lots of water and eat well. Get in control of sugar highs and mood swings.

6. You NEED to find time to do something that makes you feel like you. Find something to excite you that's attainable. Recharge.

If all else fails, smile, even if you don't feel like it. It either confuses the hell out of people and that may make you smile anyway or you'll do it so much it will happen naturally. You know, like riding a bike.
